In the Philips Hue app, you can set the color, brightness, and lighting scenes, and dim the strip from bright to softer light. You can easily click the extension strip onto the base strip without extra cables or tools. For all smart features, such as setting routines, you need a Philips Hue Bridge or Bridge Pro. You can only use the LED strip indoors because it isn't water-resistant. If you cut the Flux LED strip and want to extend it, you need extra accessories that aren't included. If you extend the strip without cutting it, you don't need extra accessories.
