Unstable product

Very crappy software

With a standard SIM card, it works pretty okay, although the configuration options are quite limited. In the car, there was frequently no 5G connection, while my phone (both Odido) did have one. Wi-Fi range wasn't great either, although this might have had something to do with the power settings.

ESIM capabilities work mainly via the app, where you can load an eSIM using a QR code. This works very poorly and fails 9 out of 10 times. Most eSIM providers only allow you to use a QR code once. As a result, you have to keep calling your telecom provider to get a new code. Online prepaid eSIM providers don't offer new codes anyway, so you lose them.

After this, I performed a firmware update, and then I did manage to activate an eSIM. After a few days, the Netgear app stopped working with the router; I performed a factory reset on the device to fix this. Afterward, I could no longer configure the device and only received error messages in the app. The router then became unusable. I returned the device to Coolblue because of this, and I have since received my money back. I already had a Nighthawk M2 and I hoped the M7 would work much better with 5G and eSIMs, but this is not the case.
