With the Plaud Note Pro, I can easily record important meetings and phone calls. I keep track of all my recordings in the app and use AI to summarize and transcribe my audio. Transcribing is the process of converting audio to text. However, I do find it a pity that this voice recorder does not have live transcription.
First Impression
In the box, I find the Plaud Note Pro, magnetic case and ring, charging cable, and manual. The voice recorder itself is small, making it easy to fit in my pocket and wallet. The voice recorder is no larger than a credit card and weighs almost nothing. It also fits well in the included case, which I can easily click onto the back of my phone thanks to MagSafe.
Quick Setup
The setup goes smoothly. I briefly press the record button on the voice recorder until I feel a vibration. A QR code appears on the built-in screen. I scan this with my phone, and the App Store opens immediately. I download the Plaud app and follow the steps. As soon as Bluetooth is enabled on my phone, I create an account and select my voice recorder. If I need help with anything, I ask Ask Plaud, the AI assistant. This is a chat that helps you use specific functions.
Handy AI features
I start a recording via the app or the physical recording button on the voice recorder. After recording, the audio file is immediately available in the Plaud app. I not only listen back to my recordings but also use AI to generate summaries and transcripts. My colleagues and I are clearly audible, and the transcripts correspond to what we say. If a part of the meeting is important, I briefly press the button to make it a highlight. The app displays the highlights I added during recording. These highlights have appropriate titles. Different speakers are also highlighted separately, and I can easily change the names. Additionally, I am satisfied with the quality of the phone call recordings. I hear my conversation partner and myself clearly, without background noise. Various subscriptions
Without a subscription, I actually use all the features. Only the transcription is limited. Upon purchase, I received 300 minutes of free transcription, which is enough for me for the time being. In the app, I receive notifications for a paid subscription with unlimited transcription. This is especially useful if you really use the voice recorder daily.
