According to our subwoofer expert
Deep bass in movies: the large frequency range down to 28 hertz lets you hear the deepest bass in an exciting action movie.
Room-filling movie sound: thanks to the 8-inch woofer, you can enjoy room-filling sound.
Place it wherever you want: you can place the subwoofer wherever you want thanks to the wireless connection.
Unsuitable for small spaces: this subwoofer isn’t suitable for small spaces, because the bass sounds too loud there.
With the Sony Sub 8, you instantly add more depth and power to your home cinema setup. This subwoofer is a great addition to a compatible Sony soundbar and ensures that low tones sound much fuller. Think of explosions in movies, deep beats in music, and extra tension during games. Thanks to the wireless connection, you can easily place it wherever you want, without extra cables running through your living room.
What stands out is that the bass is powerful without being overpowering. As a result, dialogue and other sounds remain clearly audible. The compact design is also handy if you have limited space. However, you get the most out of this subwoofer in combination with a Sony soundbar, making it less interesting as a standalone purchase.
Pro: deep and tight bass. Cons: primarily suitable within the Sony ecosystem.

We were looking for a powerful subwoofer for our living room to upgrade our sound system and ended up with the Sub 8. We paired the Sub 8 with our Sony Bravia Theatre Bar 7. Using the Bravia app, we effortlessly connected the Theatre Bar to the Sub. The sub provides a nice yet strong bass that makes your music, movies, and series much more intense, and it is more than worth it! The design is sleek and therefore blends in nicely. The price is a bit on the high side for a standalone subwoofer, but the quality lives up to that!

This subwoofer has a sleek design. As a result, it blends seamlessly into the interior. However, do not underestimate what this sub is capable of; it produces an incredibly full and deep sound.
Connecting it is very easy. Just plug it in, update the app, and the sub connects immediately. No hassle, very easy!
The subwoofer brings movies and series much more to life, but playing music also takes on a whole new dimension. A truly great addition to an existing set!
The price is a bit high, but the quality is sublime!
