I purchased this product to combat the saturation of wireless devices on my network. Installation is super simple: connect via USB-C and Wi-Fi is turned off. In the Sonos app, I did remove the Wi-Fi connection (inactive) and also disabled SonosNet. This is automatically enabled to connect to other Sonos devices. Since I only have one device (Sonos ERA100SL) and only use AirPlay, this was of no use to me (and otherwise it's just another Wi-Fi connection anyway...).
