Philips Compact Shaver 700 S791/06

The videos look very promising, but the reality is poor; there is absolutely no power, and the touch on/off button doesn't work at all.

I have somewhat mixed feelings about this product. The concept is fantastic and the device looks very nice and feels high-quality; the size is also very practical.

However, I have some trouble with the operation. The advantages are that you are less likely to accidentally turn the shaver on, and it looks very nice. The major disadvantage is that I struggled with the controls. I might get the hang of it over time, but the device didn't always do what I wanted.

The shaving results are okay in themselves; it is, of course, a smaller and more compact product and does not have exactly the same power as larger variants.

I purchased this shaver because I am often on the road for work. In the morning rush, I sometimes forget to shave, so having this Philips in my bag seemed ideal. And after a few weeks of use, I am very satisfied with it. The device is very small but still easy to hold, has a luxurious look, and comes with a nice case and a few accessories.

The shaving result is fine. It shaves quickly and smoothly, and it also shaves away a few days' worth of stubble perfectly. Not as powerful as a large shaver, but that is not why you buy a compact shaver.

The protective cap clicks magnetically onto the device, which is very handy. When shaving, you can click it onto the bottom. The shaving head can be swapped with the included nose trimmer, which is very nice. I really think this is a very handy device for the work bag or for holidays.

There are also a few downsides;

• Charging is not possible via USB-C, but requires a Philips plug. That is very inconvenient because you then have to put an extra cable in your bag.

• The accessories do not fit in the included case, so they lie loose in your bag.

• Price.
