Ring Battery Video Doorbell Pro 2nd Generation

I am very pleased with this camera! It was easy to install and the image quality is excellent both during the day and in the evening. The app is pleasant to use and gives a sense of security. Occasionally the camera responds a little slower than hoped, but that is not a big problem for me. Definitely recommended!

After two weeks of use, I am pleasantly surprised by the Ring Battery Video Doorbell Pro. The feature that really stands out to me is the recognition of familiar faces.

The doorbell detects a new face, and I can link a name to it via the app. When the same person stands at my door again later, I receive a notification mentioning that name. That is particularly handy and makes the doorbell a lot smarter than a standard video doorbell.

Additionally, I consider the wide camera view an advantage. The battery life has also been fine so far.

I find the charging to be the biggest downside. You have to remove the battery and charge it with a cable. Because this takes a long time, you are temporarily without a working doorbell and security alerts. A second battery could solve this, but it does mean an extra purchase.

I also expected better mounting screws. The included screws are quite small and thin, which makes mounting it to the wall more difficult. Furthermore, I find the subscription costs for extra features unfortunate.

Despite these drawbacks, it is a nice and smart doorbell that I can certainly recommend. Pros

I am pleasantly surprised by the Ring Battery Doorbell Pro (2nd Gen). Until recently, I had been using the first generation. But the battery drained quickly.

The image quality is very good and the picture remains sharp, even when someone is standing a bit further away from the door. I find the design modern and neat, without the doorbell looking excessively large like the old one. The cloud storage is handy for easily reviewing events. The live view and two-way audio with Audio+ work well, and the sound comes across clearly. The doorbell also performs well in the evening: in low light, there is sufficient visibility, and the adaptive night vision ensures that you can easily recognize visitors. All in all, a nice and reliable doorbell.
