Samsung Music Studio 7 Duo Pack White

I wanted better sound in the room without a long beam under the TV and without a subwoofer on the floor. In terms of size, this is exactly that: about the size of a large flowerpot, and at over five kilos, it is quite a bit heavier than it looks. The finish is really neat, with metal on the outside and no cheap plastic. Mine sits on an open cabinet next to the TV and blends in nicely with the rest of the interior.

The most important practical point: it needs space. One speaker plays upwards and two play to the sides, so if something is placed above the speaker, or if it is positioned close to a wall or inside a closed cabinet, the sound immediately becomes flatter and messier. Just shifting it around and running the room measurement again solved that for me.

In daily use, it is simple. One power cable; TV on means sound on, and I control music from my phone. Streaming over Wi-Fi remained stable the entire time, and switching between TV and music is hassle-free. No remote control is included, so you use the app, the buttons on the speaker, or your TV remote.

What I am less satisfied with is the bass. This is a nice speaker for voices, podcasts, and quiet music, but the low tones are light and don't go deep. You can get more out of it with the equalizer in the app, but it doesn't get really deep, and you cannot add a separate subwoofer. For this price, I find that a shame. So buy it for the convenience, the size, and the clear voices, not for the bass.

Samsung speaker

This Samsung speaker comes in a compact package with minimal fuss. Take the speaker out, plug it in, and get started!

The speaker is easy to add via the dedicated Samsung app. There, you can immediately adjust all sorts of settings using the EQ. You can adjust the bass, but also have the music tuned to the room.

The speaker's size is nicely compact. I really like the design. The housing is largely made of plastic, though. The speaker is not heavy, and there is a handy built-in carrying handle on the back.

The speaker can easily play sound via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. The sound is quite full and grand for this small speaker. Voices are clear, and the bass is really good. With some songs, it can be a bit overpowering, but you can adjust that via the app. In stereo, this speaker might sound even better, but I haven't had the chance to do that yet.

All in all, an ideal speaker for home use, and it can even be connected to the TV with an HDMI cable!

This Samsung soundbox can be placed anywhere. Easy to combine with a tablet or mobile phone. Installation is very easy.
