I've been a long-time user of Samsung products, and unfortunately, this is the one that disappointed me.
At first glance, earphones look stylish (although the product is pretty limited on color palette), the case is light, smooth and doesn't take much of space. Sound quality is better than in my previous Samsung Buds Pro 2. But that's where all positives end.
Immediately what I have noticed is that noise, that irritating screeching sound earphones make once you carry them in your hand or put them elsewhere but their case. Even without moving them, they pick up some frequency for no apparent reason.
Battery life of the case itself downgraded. It lasts 1 day max. I mostly use one earphone until it dies, and then the next. Previously, my Pro 2 case could live out for 2 days with my high usage and constantly changing in between left and right earbuds, but with this case, it feels like I just charged it as it asks me to do it again.
Another annoying thing that wasn't present before with Pro 2 version: due to a new design, elongated end of the earphone has a charging outlet, that causes system to lag during charging. It detects something 'disturbing' the connectiong between earphone and the case. The notification on your phone might say 'dust, hait or other particles'. Well, if you miss this notification on your phone, you would have never known that your earphones have are still dead even after being in the case for an hour, and secondly, I have yet to identify any particles that might interrupt changing, which leads me to believe that this indeed is a lag.
Regarding sensor controls, they are almost non-existent. Located on a small part of the earphone, makes a user struggle to get it right, but once you finally get the feeling of the controls they missmatch or simply does not react on tap or glide up/down.
And finally, if you wear only one earphone it automatically is set to ambient sound (mic picks up on sounds and amplifies them). In case you are someone like me, who like to wear only 1 at the time, especially when laying down, you'll hear rustling, your own breathing and the footsteps of your neighbors downstairs. It is impossible to get this mode off, as it takes both earphones to be in your ears to change the settings to active noise canceling or none at all.
Next month I am planning to buy my trusty Buds Pro 2 and wave this misery farewell.
Hope it helps!
