This baby monitor can make a connection between the screen and camer via wifi, or direct connection. This is very handy in a large house in Belgium, where multiple floors can be between the two devices.
There are 3 things to note:
The wifi feature works only via 2.4 Ghz wifi, so make sure it is not 5Ghz only.
I had a lot of connections issues. However, after resetting both units, and re-pairing, it works well.
When our unit fall from the table, the screen broke, so make sure to buy it with insurance. Our previous baby monitor was indestructible, but this one is very fragile.
You can also connect to the camera via the telephone, even through the internet (not just local wifi), this is useful when being outside in the garden.
Also, note that a camera can be paired only with one screen unit. I learned this the hard way... so if you want two to use cameras, you need to charge and keep track of two screens. Best to label it with a sticker, which is which.
