Expert review of the ETNA KCS6178NF

It's a bummer when you need to throw food away. The ETNA KCS6178NF stores groceries for longer in the fresh zone, and it offers plenty of space. I'm curious about the possibilities of this built-in fridge freezer combination. You can read what I think in this review.

First impression

First impression of the ETNA KCS6178NF fridge

When I open the fridge door, the spacious fridge compartment stands out. I can store the groceries for the whole week. That's easy with this built-in fridge freezer combination. With the 3 shelves, I can neatly organize my yoghurt, jam, and pickles. These shelves have a stainless steel finish, just like the 3 transparent drawers in the freezer compartment. This way, the fridge looks rugged and modern.

Fresh zone

Store fresh food longer

There's a fresh zone at the bottom of the fridge compartment. With a slider, I can set the humidity for grapes, carrots, or kale, for example. This way, my groceries stay fresh longer and I don't have to throw away as much. I often eat at a friend's place, so it's nice to be able to save a recipe for a later moment.

Cold Air Flow

Equally cold everywhere

The Cold Air Flow at the back of the fridge also stands out. With this technique, it's equally cool anywhere in the built-in fridge. This way, it doesn't matter where I put my yoghurt. I can put it in the middle, so it's easy to grab from the fridge.

SimpleSlide

Easily take food

I often have to search the freezer compartment for frozen vegetarian meat or a bucket of ice cream. The SimpleSlide is very useful. This is an open drawer which I can easily pull towards me. The bottom 2 drawers are large enough for a stack of pizzas or frozen fruit. The freezer compartments offers less space than the fridge compartment.

No Frost

Never defrost again

I really don't want to defrost the freezer compartment. This built-in fridge has No Frost, so it prevents ice buildup. This way, I don't have to think about ice in the drawers and on packages. In addition, I can turn on the quick freeze function behind the dial in the fridge compartment. This lowers the freezer temperature. That's useful if have bought a lot of groceries that I want to cool down. I do have to turn off the function again manually.
