FC IQ was introduced in FC 25. With FC IQ, you can control all your players on the field. These adaptable tactics decide how your team moves, with or without the ball. FC IQ will receive an upgrade in EA Sports FC 26. This means that there'll be more adjustments possible for your tactics. This brings more realism into the game, so you can show yourself as a great tactician.

With the soccer World Championship scheduled for 2026, there's a chance we'll see this game mode again in FC 26. According to rumors, EA is working on this game mode that we previously saw in the FIFA series. Whether the World Championship mode will return in FC 26, isn't known yet.

EA will also make adjustments in Ultimate Team. Are you in Division 5 or higher? You'll qualify automatically for FUT Champions from now on. In Division 6 or lower, you take on others in the online FUT Champ Challengers. Thanks to this, the difficulty is divided fairer. In Division Rivals, checkpoints change into extra challenges with rewards. Are you in a winning streak? You'll receive double Rivals points.

In FC 25, we saw new player roles for every position. EA adds new PlayStyles. These are Precision Header, Aerial Fortress, Gamechanger, Inventive, and Enforcer. The PlayStyles provide more physical power in air duels (Aerial Fortress), more powerful headers (Precision Header), graceful passes with more flair (Game Changer and Inventive) and more physical ground duels (Enforcer).

In Ultimate Team, you can draft the biggest soccer heroes of the last few decades in your team. EA introduces new Icon cards in FC 26, such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Toni Kroos, Iniesta, Marcelo, Giorgo Chiellini, Francesco Totti, Oliver Kahn, and Alex Morgan. A few new Heroes also appear in the game, like Michel Salgado, Ricardo Quaresma, Daniele De Rossi, and Pablo Aimar.
