Play as bank robbers Lucia and Jason in Grand Theft Auto IV. This game is set in Leonida, based on the state of Florida. Drive down the boulevard in the most flashy cars or catch alligators while you're on a swamp boat. Nothing's too crazy in GTA VI.
Physical case with download key
GTA VI is only physically available as code in the box. This means you don't receive a disc, but a download key in the packaging. From 12 November 2026, you can preload the game. In the trailer that was released on 5 December 2023, we see 2 new characters: the couple Lucia and Jason. Lucia will be the first playable female character in GTA. Lucia and Jason have their own Bonnie and Clyde storyline as bank robbers, where trust is even more important than usual.
Vice City, Leonida
Grand Theft Auto VI takes place in Vice City in the state Leonida. We can see a small part of the map in the trailer, which is a combination of 3 cities. There are rumors that this map will be 2 times as large as that of GTA V and that there's even space for expansions. Rockstar can also edit the map later on, so it's never the same.

The story
After the trailer was released, rumors began circling. Especially about the 2 main characters we see in the trailer. For example, Jason won't be voiced by Troy Baker, who we know from The Last of Us, but by Dylan Rourke. Lucia will probably be voiced by Manni L. Perez from The Blacklist. We can also see that Lucia is wearing an ankle bracelet in the trailer, which may cause restrictions in the map while playing. There's also a chance that an aging system will be added in GTA 6. The longer you play the game, the older the character becomes.
The map of Leonida
There are some more rumors about the map. Vice City might have 4 smaller cities in addition to the 3 cities. According to the leaked images, there's a lake in the middle of the 3 cities. Because the map is based on Miami, there'll be different areas. For example, the Florida Keys, a row of islands, and the Everglades will be added. In the trailer, you can also see places like the Vice City Strip, Vercetti Estate, and Ocean Drive returning. Of course, Vercetti Estate is Tommy's house from GTA Vice City, which he took over after the fight with Ricardo Diaz. There'll be multiple Easter eggs from previous GTA games like this hidden in GTA 6.
In-game additions
Apart from new additions, some things will also return. For example, there'll be new sneaking options, so you can go into an enemy base unseen. The 'Wanted' system will also return and you can enjoy the best music again in your stolen car. Rumor has it that Joe Rogan from ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ will be a part of the in-game radio. There'll also be an inventory system like the one we know from Red Dead Redemption 2, in which you choose which weapons you bring.
