What's the difference between a top-loader and a front-loader?
A front-loading washing machine has its opening at the front. The door opens to the left or right and often has a window through which you can see your laundry. A top-loading washing machine has its opening at the top. You load the drum through a flap. Top-loading washing machines are narrower. For this reason, and because you don’t need space for a door to swing open, you can fit this type of model into tighter spaces and corners. The capacity of top-loading washing machines is slightly smaller than that of the more common front-loading washing machines.
