The design
Bose QuietComfort 45: foldable
The Bose QuietComfort 45 looks almost identical to her predecessor. The ear cups have physical buttons that you operate the music with and the headphones are foldable. That way, you can easily bring them anywhere.
Bose Noise Canceling Headphones 700: not foldable
When it comes to design, the Bose Headphones 700 look completely different from the QuietComfort 35 II. The design is a lot more modern and looks premium, but the headphones aren't foldable. There are also no physical buttons. Instead, everything is operated via touch controls. Swipe over the ear cup and operate your music.
The noise canceling
Bose QuietComfort 45: adjustable noise canceling
Thanks to the adjustable noise canceling of the Bose QuietComfort, you decide for yourself how much your headphones mute ambient sounds. For example, when you're on a plane and don't want to hear anything, you can turn the noise canceling up to the maximum. You do first need to download the Bose Connect app to adjust the noise canceling.
Bose Noise Canceling Headphones 700: noise canceling levels
Just like with the QuietComfort 45, you can adjust the noise canceling of the Headphones 700 to your own preferences. The big difference is that these headphones adjust the noise canceling in levels. You can choose from 11 levels in total, where one level mutes more ambient noise than the other.

Bose QuietComfort 45: Google Assistant
With the Bose QuietComfort 45, you always have a personal assistant from Google standing by. Activate the assistant by pressing the action button on the headphones and ask a question. For example, you can ask "What's the latest news?" and the information will be read to you out loud by your assistant.
Bose Noise Canceling Headphones 700: Google Assistant and Bose AR
The Google Assistant is also available on the Bose Noise Canceling Headphones 700, but it also has a similar function on top of that. Bose has applied the Audio Augmented Reality technology to headphones for the first time. Sensors detect the movements of your head and body. The apps on your phone that have been optimized for Bose AR then combine this information with your location data. This way, you receive content that is relevant for your location.
Ambient Noise
With the Bose QuietComfort 45 and the Bose Headphones 700, you have the option to turn on Ambient Sound. This mode amplifies the sound of cars, voices, and other ambient noise. This way, you can safely navigate traffic while you listen to music.
Multipoint pairing
Both the Bose QuietComfort 45 and the Bose Headphones 700 have multipoint pairing. Multipoint pairing allows you to connect the headphones to 2 devices at the same time, like a laptop and smartphone. When you're watching a video on your laptop and receive in incoming call on your smartphone, the headphones will automatically switch.
