How do you connect your Samsung smartwatch to your smartphone?
You want to connect your Samsung Galaxy Watch to your smartphone right away. A Samsung smartwatch works best with a Samsung smartphone, but you can use it with other Android smartphones too. You connect your smartwatch to your smartphone via these steps:
Step 1: download the Galaxy Wearable or Samsung Galaxy Watch app to your smartphone.
Step 2: connect the Galaxy Watch to your smartphone via Bluetooth.

Step 1: download the Samsung Wearable app
The Samsung Wearable app allows you to connect all wearable devices to your smartphone. There's a different app for Android and iPhone smartphones:
- Android: download the Galaxy Wearable app in the Play Store.
Step 2: prepare your smartphone to connect
Make sure your smartphone is charged when you want to connect it to your Galaxy Watch.
- Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone.
- Open the Galaxy Wearable app on your smartphone.
- Select your Watch on the screen in the app.
Step 3: connect the devices
Now your smartphone is ready to connect, it's time to get started with your Galaxy Watch. You can do this with the following steps.
- Make sure your Galaxy Watch is charged and turn it on.
- Click the icon of the globe and choose the language you want to use.
- Give the Watch access to your location, storage, smartphone, and contacts by tapping 'Allow'.
- If a window appears to turn on Bluetooth, tap Turn on.
- Checks will appear on your Watch and smartphone. Tap both checks.
- That's that. Your Watch and smartphone have now been connected.
