Different fresh zones

A fresh zone is a drawer you can store groceries in for longer. So you won't have to throw out your food as soon, compared to storing it on a shelf. There are 3 different types of fresh zones:

  • Fresh zone for fruit and vegetables
  • Fresh zone for meat and fish
  • Fresh zone for vegetables, fruit, meat, and fish

A fresh zone with adjustable humidity allows you to easily adjust the humidity of the zone. You can do so with a slider. This way, you keep your fruit and vegetables fresh for longer. With a higher humidity level, your bell peppers and cucumbers stay crispy and won't shrivel. Do you mostly want to store fruit? You need a lower humidity level for that.

A different fresh zone is the 0-degree zone. As the name suggests, this is a drawer with a temperature around 0°C. Thanks to the low temperature, meat and fish stay fresh 2 to 3 times longer in this drawer. The low temperature ensures that bacteria don't spread as easily. As a result, you can easily store your piece of salmon of steak until the end of the week

Some fridges have a fresh zone with an adjustable temperature. This allows you to easily adjust the temperature of the zone to the food you want to store. If you have a lot of meat and fish, you can set the temperature to about 0°C. Do you mostly store fruit and vegetables? Set the temperature to about 2°C. You can adjust the zone completely to your liking.
