PoE injectors and PoE splitters are both PoE adapters, and can be a useful accessory for an IP camera. Thanks to a PoE injector, you let both the power supply and the data (such as the recorded camera images) run through a network cable. You can also use IP cameras in places where you don't have a power outlet nearby. A PoE splitter splits the mains power and data into 2 separate cables, so that you can connect the network cable to a router or switch and plug the mains adapter into the socket far away from the IP camera.
