This very nice, solidly built toaster is an asset to the kitchen, in terms of design! We found it a bit problematic to find the right temperature setting, because why does it reach position 6, while a slice of bread is almost black on 3? We also found the slots a bit too short, so you quickly have to push down a (slightly too long) sandwich.....! For "Sustainability" I give 4 stars for the time being, based on the construction method, but not on "long-term experience" yet! (only owned for a week)

My 15 euro toaster that I have had for 10 years does just as well and has the same functions. Smeg is actually just a kind of status symbol.

According to our toaster expert
Thanks to the 950W power, you can toast your slices of bread quickly.
With the 6 modes, you can decide how crunchy and brown your bread turns out.
Thanks to the extra wide slots, you can also easily toast thick slices of bread.
A warming rack to help keep your croissants or bread rolls warm longer isn't included.
With the SMEG TSF01PGEU Pastel Green toaster, your slices of bread are toasted in no time. The toaster has a high power of 950W. You can choose from 6 different modes. This way, you can make your bread as crunchy as you want. It has 3 automatic programs with which you can warm up, defrost, or toast one-sided. The last option is useful for when you want to make a bagel. Place the bread in the slots and push the lever down. When the slices are crunchy enough, they're pushed up automatically. After use, you can easily clean the crumb tray. You can neatly store the connector at the back.
