According to our router expert
With a speed of 1,625Mbps on the 5GHz frequency band, this router is faster than comparable routers.
This router supports MU-MIMO, which ensures a more stable wireless connection.
Beamforming technology provides a better range and a more stable WiFi signal.
This router only supports WiFi 5, so your wireless internet is less stable than with WiFi 6 if you're online with many devices at the same time.
Depending on the size of your house, this router offers coverage on 1 or 2 floors. Choose multi-room WiFi for WiFi throughout your home.
Connect your entire household to a fast WiFi network with the TP-Link Archer C2300 router. Its powerful processor provides all your devices with wireless internet. Thanks to MU-MIMO, the router can set up multiple connections at the same time, so your network won't slow down if a lot of devices are connected. The router delivers a maximum speed of 1,625Mbps, which allows you to effortlessly stream 4K movies over your home network and play an online game at the same time. You can even prioritize movies and games with the Quality of Service feature to ensure your streams stay stable at all times. Use this router's Parental Controls to make sure your children can't visit any harmful websites.

After a comparative study I ended up with the 2300 from TPlink. I had a number of reasons for that. This router is cheaper than other routers with such speed from other brands and (more importantly) it also has better specs. Most important is simply a much faster processor than comparable models. (And for the other nerds among us also link aggregation, airtime fairness and band steering).
That means this is just a beast of a router at a reasonable price. And I notice that too.
I'll skip the part about installation and connection, it's just super simple these days. Anyone can do it, especially with this router.
The performance is huge. Wired, the speed is of course super. And especially because you can use two ports at the same time for 1 device (if supported like with my synology 916 NAS). But especially wifi is just remarkably good. I get a much higher top speed in all the places where I have measured and the stability under high load is perfect.
Everything is adjustable and tweakable, possibly with an app, but I have not tried that.

Out of the box up and running in minutes! Interface basic makes quick setup very easy. The advanced mode provides all the settings you could wish for. Signal strength is very good. Having the option to set up a VPN is special for this price.

Easy router setup via an app. Many setting options, you can even set restrictions per connected device. You can also set preferred devices, which are given priority. Forwarding ports to, for example, your NAS is no problem at all.
