According to our soundbar expert
Add the soundbar to the Sony multi-room system and you'll be able to stream music throughout the house.
The soundbar has both an HDMI and an optical connector to connect the soundbar to the TV.
The soundbar can't be connected to a Sony TV of XE85/XF85 or higher via Bluetooth.
You have to purchase an HDMI cable yourself to connect the soundbar to the TV.
The Sony HT-SF200 lets you create surround sound. You use an HDMI cable to connect your television to the soundbar. The device has a power output of 80 watts, which is enough to fill a small room with clean audio. The integrated subwoofer produces low bass notes. Do you enjoy listening to music? You can use a USB cable or Bluetooth to connect a phone or tablet to the soundbar, so that you can enjoy your favorite songs. Thanks to its compact design, the soundbar will fit in front of or under most TVs.
Connecting the Sony HT-SF200 soundbar with your TV
Use the included optical or HDMI cable to connect your soundbar to your television. Keep in mind that your TV needs an optical connector to use the soundbar. We recommend HDMI arc cable.
In use for over a week now. Installation and operation is simple. The sound is definitely an improvement over the sound of the TV. To really imitate a cinema experience, a subwoofer + extra speakers is needed. If you are looking for an affordable device that certainly improves the sound compared to the TV, then this is a great purchase. Design is simple and sleek which I personally like.

I think the soundbar is a big improvement compared to the sound that comes from my Smart TV. Although I was initially also satisfied with the sound quality of the TV, I now believe that an external audio system gives a huge added value. This is my first soundbar and I was amazed at how much depth and power the soundbar gives the sound. The soundbar is very easy to connect. More than worth his money.

I missed some extra sound in movies. We have had the Sony Soundbar for about 3 weeks now and it is definitely an added value for the television. Connecting was very simple, a matter of plugging in and turning it on, also using the Bluetooth on the phone was very easy. For a normal-sized living room, a power of 80 watts is certainly sufficient. The movies in particular become a lot more realistic due to the deeper sound, the operation is via the remote control of the TV. Switching on and off is not necessary, this also happens automatically. Playing music via USB or Bluetooth is also fine, especially the radio function via the TV is used with us. It's a nice subwoofer for the money.
