What a camera! For me the first system camera that I shoot with and I like it so far. I am used to working with my SLR camera Canon 7d, also a masterpiece, but sometimes you want to work a little more compactly. However, you do not want to run into limitations or suffer a loss of quality.
With the Canon M50, shooting becomes a lot easier with the same possibilities as with a dslr. Even more, because thanks to the handy WiFi function you can now directly share your photos with your iPhone, which is really ideal for sharing them directly on your social media channels. In addition, for those who like to vlog, a tiltable screen is available, which makes it all easier. The screen is also equipped with a touchscreen, so you can focus on the right point with 1 tap on the screen and you can also operate everything directly via the screen.
It is known that the M50 has 4K video recording. But is the camera really as good as the specs tell us? I have already experienced that the camera works fine in the photographic function, but it is also noticeable during filming that the camera is easy and quick to operate. The tilting screen is very useful for taking images low to the ground without having to lie behind it to see the images live. Due to its light weight, the camera is also easy to stabilize to shoot tight images. After exporting to the iMac, the razor-sharp quality is clearly visible and even in low light the image quality remains astonishingly good.
In short, my impression of the camera is very good. Fine operation, compact yet very extensive in terms of possibilities and of very good image quality!

It's been a while since I bought the Canon M50, which allowed me to test all its functions. The size of the camera fits nicely in my hand and because the camera is so light, the camera is very easy to take everywhere. The camera feels nice and sturdy, I even fell on the street once when the camera was hanging around my neck and there was not a scratch. The buttons are easy to operate and it is quickly clear what the function of each button is without reading the manual, even if this comes from someone who has owned a camera before. The tilting touchscreen is also incredibly handy, you can actually hold the camera anywhere and rotate the screen so that you can see what's happening, and focus is also very easy to control via the touchscreen. I usually shoot in manual but with autofocus, and the quality of the images is fantastic. Autofocus is incredibly fast, even compared to some of the more expensive cameras I've tested in stores, and the different types of autofocus mean there's always a sharp image. Now more technical stuff; You can save the photos in many different options, from high quality to low, and you can also choose whether to shoot in jpeg, RAW, or both. Film quality is also very good, you can choose between 720p, 1080p and 4k, and whether you film in 24fps or 50fps. The f, the shutter speed, and ISO are also very easy to operate via the touchscreen, so that you quickly learn how everything is connected and how you get the best photo quality. Only downside I can find is the small battery of 825mAh compared to other cameras because this is a system camera and not an SLR, but I have to say that the battery still lasts quite a long time. The last time I went shooting the camera was on for 3 hours straight, and at the end of the day the screen said the battery still had a lot of power.
This camera is definitely recommended for beginners and experts alike. The camera is very easy to carry and user-friendly, making this a perfect first camera to take with you on trips, vacations, etc. Also for experts this is a wonderful camera because the quality of the images is very good, comparable to more expensive cameras that are currently on the market. The options in manual are simple but also good, so even people who want to know whether photography is something for them, this is a nice camera.

I've been using the Canon EOS M50 for a few weeks now. The first thing that struck me was the weight for its size. The camera is surprisingly light for this size. The camera fits well in the hand and offers sufficient grip.
Setting up the camera is very simple and the touchscreen makes this even easier. The camera has a number of options in terms of settings. There are many automatic modes available and the camera has the option to set certain parts manually. The Canon app makes it easy to set the camera manually, a very nice addition to the app!
The quality of the photos is good. The camera can focus quickly and with the help of the touchscreen it is also easier to focus on certain points. The camera can shoot at 10 fps, so that especially sports photos are captured sharply. Personally, I really like this, since with 10 fps you don't miss a single moment.
The Canon can film in both 1080p and 4k. The pity of the 4k function is that the image is a bit zoomed in. This can make filming objects up close a bit more difficult. All in all, both resolutions give a sharp and clear image.
The battery life of the camera is fine, but buying an extra battery is not a superfluous luxury. The battery charges in an external charger and not in the camera itself. Charging one battery takes several hours, so patience is required.
