According to our vacuum expert
The included parquet brush protects your hard floor from any scratches.
Thanks to the anti-allergy filter, it's very suitable for people with dust allergies.
Thanks to the rubber edges, the TriActive Pro brush also cleans fine dust during vacuuming.
Doesn't include a turbo brush, so it's harder to vacuum pet hairs or rough carpets.
At 4 liters, the Philips Performer Silent FC8780/09 has a large capacity. As a result, you won't need to replace the bag as often. The anti-allergy filter ensures that the exhaust air is cleared of any dust particles and allergens. In addition, the TriActive Pro multi-surface brush also picks up fine dust from the ground, so that'll save some itchy noses. Do you have a wooden floor? Use the parquet brush. This prevents any scratches. You'll receive 2 separate accessories, while 1 accessory is integrated into the handle. Detach the tube from the hose to access a soft dusting brush. Now you can vacuum the glass coffee table without the risk of scratching it.

We have had several Philips vacuum cleaners to our satisfaction and so this time we went for a Philips again and specifically chose this model because we have two children and two cats in the house. That means a lot of dust, sand, crumbs and hair in the house every day.
The first thing I noticed when unpacking was that it was a bit bigger than our previous Philips. A positive point is that the power wire is a lot longer than we were used to. This used to be a problem with our old one.
Then the sound. You can set the vacuum cleaner in different positions in terms of suction power. At the most, it does make a bit of noise, but still a lot less than other vacuum cleaners we've had. We often set it a little less than the max anyway and it becomes a lot quieter. The suction power is still very good on a lower setting.
The squeegee works very well. Place it against the plinth or cupboard and it will remove hair or crumbs from under it. There are many attachments included, but we rarely use them. The basics are sufficient for us in most cases. The handle is easy to click loose and at the top there is a brush that you can slide on and more. Handy if you want to vacuum something that is easily scratched.
Our house consists mainly of laminate. I can't say much about how this vacuum performs on carpet. We have two doormats and he also cleans them well. The only drawback is that it sometimes sucks a little too strongly, even if the opening in the handle opens. In that case, we have to set the vacuum cleaner to a lower setting.
Finally, there is an anti-allergy filter in it. My wife is slightly bothered by house dust mites and I am also sensitive to dust and hair, so this seemed like a nice option.
All in all a nice vacuum cleaner. Slightly on the large side but otherwise user-friendly, very quiet, nice long cord and good suction power!

Nice device! They call him "silent" but this rascal is not that quiet. After a year, one of the wheels on the squeegee started making an unwise scraping noise when you moved it back and forth. And let a vacuum cleaner continuously move back and forth! Well, nice then. I rely on the warranty, which was top-notch from Coolblue. However, when the replacement squeegee started making noise again (duh) I also wanted to send it in. Suddenly philips started making a fuss about a serial number that should be on the bottom. (is not there at all) So after deliberation I got a new suction mouth (with the extreme exception uhu). And what do you think? Same story just now after a month. (you're going to watch it ;)
Incidentally, the small wheel on the front of the vacuum cleaner itself is so small that it always gets stuck behind the cord. Also very annoying and quite heavy to have to lift it over that cord over and over again. But hey! The cord is 15 meters so there is a lot of cord on the floor to roll over. ha ha good evening!

Used a bagless vacuum cleaner from the well-known "D" manufacturer for years, but at one point I was completely done with it. The relatively small collection bin (yes, even the large bins have to be emptied very often), the energy-guzzling motor that made a LOT of noise (84dB! with a very loud/high beep close to the ground that startled my cats) but still disappointing suction power (had to go directly over dust several times). And then emptying the bin: a dust (mite) cloud every time you emptied the contents into the garbage can. In addition, it was quite large and therefore difficult to store.
Compare that to this Philips with bag. A large collection capacity, a very efficient motor (almost 50% less power, but more than 2x the suction power), a reach of 2m more, and only 66dB (that's 18dB difference, or 64 times quieter!). It needs to be emptied much less often, and if you have to replace the bag, there is no dust (mite) cloud everywhere.
In fact, the suction is so strong that if you set it too heavy, you can pick up carpet tiles! The carpet in the house became noticeably cleaner in one go, the parquet floor was really noticeably cleaner with bare feet, furniture could be vacuumed well, and the built-in soft brush was surprisingly useful for books, shelves and (display) cabinets. Dust literally flew to the nozzle - something that didn't happen often with my "D" vacuum.
And then the air: after vacuuming, the house immediately smelled much better, because all the air is passed through a microfibre bag and a HEPA filter. Instead of producing a musty smell - like the "D" vacuum cleaner - the air in the house had become a lot fresher. What a relief.
The mini turbo brush at the front does make a lot of noise, but I only use it briefly on a piece of furniture where my cats have been. Very effective.
Also: Good maneuverability, good accessory selection, versatile 'TriActive' mouthpiece, easy bag change, easy cord rewind, good storage, and 5 year Philips warranty on the motor. I have tested with both the original s-Bag and the Sorbo microfibre bags, and the suction power remains as good as ever.
If I have to mention a downside, it is that there is a tube holder for horizontal storage of the vacuum cleaner, but not for vertical storage.
