According to our mobile phone expert
Via Face ID, you unlock the phone by simply looking at it.
Thanks to the optical image stabilization, you take sharp photos, even if you move.
Thanks to the Qi support, you can charge your phone wirelessly.
This iPhone doesn't fit in every pocket and is more difficult to control with 1 hand just like the iPhone 11 / 12 Pro Max, the iPhone 8 / 11 / 12 / 12 Pro are smaller.
A charger and earbuds aren't included, so you have to purchase those separately.
Note: a charger adapter and earbuds aren't included, so you purchase them separately.
Apple iPhone Xr 64GB Black is the successor of the iPhone 8. The smartphone has a single 12-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization, which allows you to take sharp photos. You can store these together with your favorite apps on the limited 64GB storage. Do you need more storage capacity? Choose the 128GB version. The design of this device looks a lot like the iPhone X. The wide bezels makes way for a virtually bezel-less screen with a small dent at the top. The fingerprint scanner has also disappeared and you now unlock the device with Face ID. The casing is made of glass, which allows the iPhone XR to support wireless charging. With its 6.1 inches, the LCD screen of the iPhone Xr Black is much bigger than the iPhone 8 or 8 Plus. This way, you can comfortably watch your favorite series.

I had an iPhone for years and then once decided to switch to a Samsung. Over time, I still missed the ease of use of an iPhone and my apps worked better on iOS once.
The iPhone XR's battery is fantastic. Currently I charge my phone every other day. I've had 3 hours and 11 minutes of screen time since the last charge. Now I have 25% left. The top 4 apps that have consumed my battery are: YouTube : 24% Snapchat : 12% Twitter : 8% Safari : 8% All in all, the battery is really very good and you can easily get through the day.
I don't take many pictures myself. The photos I took are of very good quality. The option is there to take portrait photos, although I don't find that very useful myself. FaceID is a great solution. For me it works much better than the finger scanner that was on other phones. This way I can easily log in to websites by just scanning my face. Safari then fills in the passwords I've ever entered before. This can of course be set yourself.
The screen isn't as sharp as an iPhone XS or iPhone XS Max. Don't let this influence you too much. It is almost invisible on a smartphone screen unless you hold it very close to your face. If in doubt, it is better to go to the store and see what you think. I don't think you will notice any difference in sharpness. The size of the screen is on the large side. The iPhone XR is bigger than the iPhone XS. Compared to the previous models, I would place it between an iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 plus. Something to keep in mind if you have smaller hands.
I personally think it's a perfect phone. I still have to get used to the size of the phone, but the battery that is in it more than makes up for it. If you decide to buy the iPhone XR, pay attention to whether you buy the 64GB model or the 128GB model. The price difference is about 60 euros. I personally opted for the 128GB version.

Simply put, a powerhouse, the difference compared to the iPhone XS is well worth it.

I've been hesitating between the iPhone XS and this iPhone XR for a long time. So far I have absolutely no regrets about my choice for the XR, it is a fantastic device!
If we look at the main differences between the two, the XS does indeed come out as the better phone. After all, this comes with a higher resolution OLED screen instead of the IPS screen on the XR and a dual camera compared to a single camera. On paper, however, the differences seem a lot bigger than in reality. The screen is of very good quality, bright and sharp enough. The main cameras on both devices are the same. The photos and videos that come out of the XR's camera are sublime, both in daylight and at night. The iPhone XS adds a zoom lens, something I would use very little, the 5x digital zoom is more than sufficient here. There is a difference in portrait mode. This feature is available on both phones, but worked out differently. The XS brings the object a lot closer, while the XR is more distant, it just depends on what you prefer.
Then the differences that come into its own a little more. First, the XR lacks 3D touch, something I found useful on the iPhone 7. Pressing the screen 'deeper' does contain some useful functions in the new iOS versions. Then the screen edges around the XR are slightly larger than with the XS, although this is completely personal taste.
In short, it is a very pleasant phone that makes relatively few compromises compared to the considerably more expensive variant. Definitely recommended!
