According to our SLR camera expert
The camera has a large full frame sensor that lets you photograph in different lighting situations.
Thanks to the high number of photos per second, you can capture the action sharply.
You use the entire 4K resolution, because the camera records in 6K and converts these images to 4K.
A memory card isn't included.
The Nikon D780 is a versatile full frame SLR camera for professional photographers and videographers. Thanks to the large sensor, you can photograph in different lighting situations. In live view, you capture moments of action of athletes or animals with 12 frames per second. With the viewfinder, you can photograph with up to 7 frames per second. The autofocus is very fast and accurate. If you select an eye that you want to focus on, the camera remains focused on it. Even if the subject moves around. The focus system also works well in darker locations. And videographers can record detailed footage, thanks to the high resolution of the sensor. You record in 6K resolution, after which the images are converted to 4K. This way, your video doesn't get cropped and you can use the 4K resolution in its entirety.
I think the Nikon D780 has a nice design, despite the weight. The camera has a firm grip, which makes it stable in the hand. I also take razor-sharp photos and high-quality videos with 4K resolution. The 2 SD card slots make the camera suitable for professional use, such as event photography.
High-quality image quality The D780's large full-frame sensor makes all the difference in dark situations. I have a wide ISO range up to 204,800. The sensor also gives the photos and videos a high quality. With the powerful autofocus systems I focus quickly in a wide field of view.
Speed for action moments I find the shutter speed fast at 1/8000 seconds. In addition, the burst mode achieves a maximum speed of 7 images per second. This allows me to use the camera for action photography. While shooting, I notice that the camera takes pictures silently. This is useful when I don't want to disturb the subject.
Always a backup or enough memory I find the 2 SD card slots ideal for photographing an event, such as a wedding. So there is always a backup of an important moment. Or I use the 2 slots for extra memory, so I don't have to worry about a full card.
Tiltable display for flexibility The tilting screen comes in handy when I'm shooting from a low position. This gives me more flexibility during photoshoots. In addition, I can easily focus on my subject via the touchscreen. I like to use this function while filming.
