The image is sharp and the colors are beautifully bright. I connected the monitor to my MacPro via DisplayPort (DisplayPort -> Mini DisplayPort) to get the most optimal signal. If your system has this, I recommend that you always use it.
I have use two of these monitors for application programming. One in portrait mode and one in landscape mode. Portrait mode is possible due to the tilt functionality. However, you have to tilt the screen a bit to turn it 90 degrees, as the foot is just in the way. After tilting you can tilt it back again.
