According to our monitor expert
With 4K, you can experience images twice as sharp as in QHD and 4 times sharper than in Full HD.
You can listen to music or the sound of your movies via the built-in speakers.
Via the charger function of the USB-C port, you can charge peripherals like your laptop.
This monitor isn't very suitable for gaming, because of the 5ms response time and 60Hz refresh rate.
The LG 27UN83A is a 27-inch 4K HDR monitor with USB-C connector that you can use for editing documents, photos, and videos. The 4K resolution is 4 times sharper than Full HD. This way, you'll see every detail razor-sharp, even on this large screen with a diameter of 69 centimeters. Thanks to HDR support, the 27UN83A provides high brightness and strong contrasts. In addition, this monitor has an IPS panel that covers 99% of the sRGB color space. This ensures a wide and realistic color representation from every viewing angle. Directly connect your Windows laptop or MacBook via the USB-C connector. That way, it charges your devices with a maximum power of 60W at the same time.

Screen ordered based on specs, reviews and the popularity of the 2018/2019 predecessors (UK850 / UL850). For me, however, a setback. In the price range 450-500 euros, I think you can get better at eg Benq and Dell. See pluses and minuses for explanation. I sent the screen back.

Macbook connected to it, it's a relief compared to from my old HD monitor. 4k is much sharper and calmer to the eye. Especially if you do a lot of text processing. Also great for Photoshop and Permiere. I hesitated for a long time between an ultra wide and this one, but this screen is big enough. And can also be used for movies.

On the back of the screen are 2 USB A ports that do not work on the monitor power by themselves, the coolblue employee said when asked. One port will not work until the other has external power. The monitor must therefore be supplied with power twice. Very cumbersome if you also want to connect peripherals with USB A!
