A great monitor for the money. Nice 4k IPS panel with of course a low response time, but also low input lag. Color production is very good and the monitor comes pre-calibrated (not perfect, but out-of-the-box a lot better than comparable displays); that saves some hassle. The brightness is more than enough for normal use -- even in a room that gets a lot of sunlight -- but isn't really enough for HDR if that's what you're looking for. 32 inches turns out to be an excellent size if you want sharp text on your screen by means of pixel doubling / scaling. On a 27 inch screen you quickly want to set the scaling (on Windows or OSX) so that it looks like a very sharp 1080p (in terms of real estate), but because this screen is 32 inch you can very well adjust the scaling on the equivalent of 1440p, which gives you super sharp letters and more real estate to work on. Of course 4K is great for video and games, but for other applications you really need the scaling because otherwise the letters are really very small. This works very well with this monitor. What is a pity is that this monitor does not have a USB-C/Thunderbolt connection. The 27UN83a and 27UN850 do. You can use a USB-C cable to connect the screen directly to a Thunderbolt port of a Macbook (or other supported laptop) without having to use a dongle. Of course with this screen you can just use a Displayport to Thunderbolt cable to achieve more or less the same thing (minus the fact that the USB-C solution also carries the data for the USB hub that is on the screen), but that cable is not included with this display. That's a shame, but this monitor is of course in the 6 series from LG and not in the 8 series and is therefore slightly cheaper and lacks this feature. All in all, it's a fantastic screen and well worth the money.
