According to our mobile phone expert
You can take razor-sharp photos with the various cameras in this device.
With the telephoto lens, you can zoom up to 2.5 times without losing quality.
You can use this powerful device for the most demanding apps and 3D games thanks to the A14 Bionic Chip.
This large iPhone doesn't fit in every pocket and is less easy to operate with one hand.
An adapter and earbuds aren't included by default and have to be purchased separately.
The Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max 128GB Pacific Blue is future proof, because it supports the 5G network. This way, you also have a stable internet connection when you go to crowded places. You have more than enough space to store all your photos and apps on the 128GB storage. With the LiDAR scanner, you can also experience augmented reality (AR). This scanner is a 3D sensor that you use, for example, for AR games. In addition to the LiDAR scanner, you can find 3 cameras on the back. This includes a telephoto lens you can use to zoom optically up to 2.5 times. In addition, you can use the ultra wide-angle lens to capture wide landscapes or large buildings. The 6.7-inch screen has OLED technology, which makes black tones look even better. The steel sides have an angular shape and give the device the same robust design as the iPad Pro. Thanks to the A14 Bionic chip, your device is energy-efficient and a bit faster than its predecessors.
Note: an adapter and earbuds aren't included by default. You can use your current accessories or purchase new ones separately.

We both replace our phones every 2 years; our two children, still in possession of the iPhone 7 Plus, will then receive our devices, in this case the Xs Max 256GB. The 'need' to replace is therefore not the step from the Xs Max, but to replace the 7 Plus; the differences between the Xs Max and the 12 Pro Max are not enough for me to switch and more importantly, the Xs Max still pleases.
Since the step back is more noticeable than the step forward, I compared both devices after 1 week and the following stands out:
The screen is better in color depth and readability in sunlight. The screen looks very nice. The screen does not have a 120Hz refresh rate, but movements on the screen are very smooth and smooth. This will partly be caused by the faster chip, because it all goes wonderfully smoothly and quickly. This is especially noticeable when you swipe the Xs Max again and open apps. There is no lag and loading certain apps gives you the idea that the phone is faster for the app itself, I didn't have this feeling with the Xs Max.
The quality of the photos is better, you can see the difference especially in the detail in the highlights and shadows. The depth of field is also deeper, the background is more blurred without appearing created (software enhanced). The front camera has been greatly improved; not only are clearly sharper, but highlights are now no longer white areas, but you see much more detail. Perhaps there will be another big step if an app like Halide can handle the larger sensor even better. And what will ProRAW bring? Twilight/dark photos are almost unbelievable how good they are in terms of colors and motion sharpness.
The battery life is positive, after good use the battery of the Xs Max was towards 20% and I have not yet succeeded with the 12 Pro Max. This may be because the battery condition of the Xs Max is at 96%, which is still good after 2 years.
I dare to use this device without a case, because due to the angular shape the device lies firmly in your hands, the feeling that the device slips out of the hands as with the rounder shape has disappeared. Eventually you will feel the edges in your hands, but that is not so bad that it will hurt you. What definitely takes getting used to are the lenses, which stick out quite a bit. Perhaps you would use a case for this, so that the background is flatter.
The 128GB memory is more than enough for me. The increased use of iCloud with 2TB storage is partly a cause of this. The difference is more expensive than the device with 256GB, calculated over 2 years, but the sharing with family option alone makes it a cheaper choice.
Not having the charger is not a loss if you have had Apple products for years, what is defective is the cable and it is included. We are increasingly using wireless charging and once you're used to it, you won't go back.

After years of Android use, I switched from my last samsung galaxy s10 to the iPhone 12 pro Max. Everything just does what it's supposed to do, period. Yes it is quite a purchase but you do get a lot of quality and stability in return. (Something I've had more problems with with Android) that's partly why I think this purchase is more than worth it in my opinion. Screen looks good, phone is a bit large but has a very good brewing quality and a luxurious appearance. Cameras always shoot sharp photos, etc. The transition from Android to iOS took some getting used to, but after a day you don't really know any better.
In short, recommended.
