According to our desktop expert
The Apple M1 chip ensures you can effortlessly use demanding programs like Adobe Photoshop.
Thanks to its compact size, you can easily find a place for the Mac Mini.
With the USB 4.0 ports, you can transfer large files fast with a speed of up to 40Gbps.
Due to the limited capacity of the 256GB SSD, you have to look for extra storage space for all your photos, videos, and documents sooner.
A mouse and keyboard aren't included.
Edit photos, create illustrations, and design apps on the Apple Mac Mini (2020) MGNR3FN/A. Thanks to Apple's own M1 chip, you can do these things smoothly without the desktops slowing down. This chip is up to 3 times faster than the Intel processor in previous models. Hardware and software are better attuned to one another, so programs run more efficiently and you can put all the processing power to optimum use. No matter how small your desk, the compact size and 19.7cm width ensure you can always find a place for the Apple Mac Mini. Connect 2 monitors to the USB 4 and HDMI connectors to work in different programs at the same time. While working, you can play music via the built-in speakers.

Great computer, runs smoothly. Sure, the thing has few connection ports, but you know that in advance. Just buy a hub and you're done. Internal SSD is super fast. Have it as an extra with my PC for now. Difference? Sure. Have a fairly good PC myself (7700k, 16gb, 970ssd, 1080ti) so, no, you can run heavy games on a Mac mini, but with low resolution and low fps. Furthermore, the standard applications such as browsing and mail run perfectly. iMovie and Affinity Photo 2 also run great! When should you buy this Mac mini? If you want a fast computer and don't play heavy games, I prefer this Mac mini over the PC. No blowing from fans, lovely. Also more security and more privacy than on a PC. Well, if you have an iPhone, transferring files to and from via AirDrop runs like a charm. Smart home with HomeKit? This is what you have on the Mac mini.

This Mac Mini functions as a regular desktop PC for surfing the Internet, making music, and occasionally editing photos and videos in Lightroom and Davinci Resolve. I have it connected to an LG Ergo monitor and Logitech (for Mac) wireless mouse and keyboard. In all actions, the Mac mini lives up to expectations. Quiet and fast. It also still looks nice on the desk.
A major drawback I am currently experiencing is that my screen does not automatically turn on or recognize when starting up the Mac. A quick Google search shows that many people have this problem and hope that Apple will do something about it. Currently, the solution is to unplug the monitor cable and plug it back in every time.
As for the outputs on the Mac, a few extra USBs would have been nice. My monitor now uses a USB C/Thunderbolt port. Please note: you will get different resolution options for your monitor, depending on whether you use the HDMI or USB C output!
I'm really happy with this Mac. Hopefully the bugs will be fixed soon with future updates.
