This new DDJ FLX6 Pioneer controller is an upgrade of the DDJ400 with some nice extras. However, if you're looking for a basic controller (and a cheaper price), you'd better opt for the entry-level 200 or 440. However, if you have mastered these basic devices, an upgrade to the FLX6 is definitely worth it. This controller is plug&play and you don't need a paid subscription for Rekordbox or Serato. Connect via USB to your laptop and you're ready to go! If you play EDM you will enjoy the MergeFX and extensive effects module and drumheads. If you play other genres, these fx will get boring quickly
