This air conditioner weighs 33kg, so you can't easily move it to a different floor.
The Duux North Smart 18K BTU/h is a smart air conditioner that you can use to cool a really hot space of up to 34m2. You can connect the air conditioner with the Duux app or the voice assistant from Google and Amazon, so you can easily adjust it remotely. In addition to the cooling function, the air conditioner also has a fan mode to create a cooling breeze. With the dehumidifier mode, you can reduce the muggy warm air and enjoy a pleasant indoor climate. At night, you can turn on night mode. That way, it won't get too cold in the bedroom and you won't be bothered by noise. The air conditioner has a maximum noise level of 65dB. This is less than most air conditioners, but you can still clearly hear it.
Note: the length of the drain hose is 150cm. Check if this is long enough for the room you want to place the air conditioner in.
Price-quality ratio
With the Duux North Smart air conditioning I can cool my living room or bedroom very quickly. I can also easily control the air conditioning remotely with the Duux app, so you don't have to get up.
Powerful air conditioning with great cooling capacity In the summer the temperature in my house rises to 28 degrees. Because this makes me uncomfortable at home and makes it difficult to sleep, I looked for a mobile air conditioner. I chose the Duux North Smart air conditioner because of its great cooling capacity. If I set the temperature to 16 degrees, my living room cools down very quickly. I think it even feels colder. The included window sealing kit also keeps warm air out well.
Fan and dehumidifier It's nice that the air conditioning dehumidifies the air, because it means my house doesn't feel clammy. There is also a ventilation setting, so that the air conditioning blows air like a fan. In the highest setting I feel a lot of wind, which is nice and cooling.
Control via the Duux app You control the air conditioning in different ways, for example with the screen, the remote control or via the Duux app. I find the latter without a doubt the most useful. The air conditioning responds immediately to my adjustments in the app, even if I am not nearby.
Lots of noise As I mentioned earlier, I also want to use the air conditioning at night. Unfortunately, due to the high power, the air conditioning makes too much noise. It is also not much quieter in night mode. However, it does turn off automatically, so it is not on all night. The ventilation setting makes less noise, but is still quite loud while sleeping.
Format The air conditioner is quite large, so it takes up a lot of space. The manual also states that the air conditioner may not be installed in rooms smaller than 15 square meters. This makes it less easy for me to store it in the winter.

Long awaited, this air conditioner. Finally a powerhouse that was suitable for a larger space and also looked sleek. And for 1250 euros for a mobile air conditioner you also expect the Rolls Royce among air conditioners. Previously used a mobile air conditioner from an unknown brand. That bastard was from 1999! So let's take a look at a 'more economical' newer, more functions and above all more powerful for the really warmer summer months.
Then I received an email that it was finally in stock, so I ordered immediately. Very neatly delivered the next day by 2 delivery guys from Coolblue. Then we had to wait for a warm summer night, and it presented itself almost immediately. So test it! The first thing I noticed was the shrill and annoying compressor noise the unit made in cooling mode. Something that both my partner and I really can't get used to after a night of testing. (The old air conditioner was much quieter, and gave a deeper hum than this unit).
The next day I measured again and at 2m distance the dB meter indicated 80dB when the compressor started, and on average 72dB in cooling mode. Much louder than the advertised value. If you are a light sleeper, or sensitive to irregular sounds, I would really look further.
I am also not satisfied with the air displacement. Of course you are aware that you are buying a heavy air conditioner for larger spaces, but you expect that a silent mode or 'night mode' provides a somewhat more pleasant setting. Unfortunately, the device still caused quite a bit of air movement in that mode, so you always had the feeling that you were sitting / lying on the draft. This also applies to the output through the hose. If you point it outwards, pay close attention to where you point the hose/airflow, it is quite good.
I was also surprised to learn in the manual that this device may not be stored in rooms smaller than 15m² due to the risk of explosion. So if you want to park this thing in a shed during winter storage, forget it with the warranty, because the same manual also states that any use other than indicated is misuse of the device and the manufacturer's warranty will expire.
There is one bright spot; that I was well helped by a colleague from Coolblue, who understood my situation, and had the air conditioning picked up immediately the next day. But at least no more Duux for me.

Immediately put down, our house is of modern architecture. Lots of windows and full of sun. Beautiful to see, less so to live. This air conditioner solved this problem for us within a day.
