In addition to the standard Microsoft Store Apps that Windows installs by default, and therefore have to be uninstalled immediately, there are also a number of virus scanners and various HP apps, of which it is not always immediately clear what they are good for. Most can come off. The Omen Gaming hub is necessary if you don't feel like sitting next to a rainbow as standard. It also took extra time to get the RGB of the HyperX Fury memory to calm down because HP's ftp servers where the required download was kept were not working, and judging by various forum posts this happens often. In any case, there is no option in the BIOS to turn off the lighting, so the colors remain at default until you are logged in.

Ultimately, the PC works quite well, with about as many problems as I encounter with other PCs as a software developer, so I'm glad I even had the option to upgrade to the RTX 3080 and a 10700K for a reasonable price. But if it weren't so incredibly expensive to build a PC myself right now, I would have done it.
