According to our vacuum expert
With the powerful V12 motor, you can vacuum in the lowest setting for 60 minutes, without interruptions.
Hairs won't get stuck in the suction brush thanks to the anti-tangle technology.
The green light beam on the parquet brush makes dust particles that aren't visible to the human eye visible, so you won't miss them.
The turbo mode drains a lot of power from the battery, so if you use this mode, the battery only lasts 5 minutes.
With the Dyson V12 Detect Slim Absolute, you can vacuum delicate floors without scratches because the soft parquet brush doesn't leave any scratches on your floor. Thanks to the Piezo sensor, you can see exactly what kind of dust and dirt you're sucking up. That way, you won't have to go over the same spot 5 times. This suction brush has anti-tangle technology, as well as an anti-tangle conical brush. With this, you can effortlessly remove pet hairs from your furniture. Thanks to its renewed shape, hair and dirt won't get stuck as fast for even better cleaning. The stick vacuum has an average battery life of 60 minutes in the lowest setting and weighs 2.4kg. You can find useful information on the LCD screen, like the remaining battery life. The vacuum will also guide you through the maintenance when that's needed.
Note: the new V12 model doesn't have a slider to turn the light beam on and off with anymore.Cleaning performance

I find the Dyson V12 a handy and smart household help. You can vacuum efficiently thanks to the Piezo sensor, light beam and tangle-free brushes. If I constantly use the turbo mode, the battery life decreases to 5 minutes.
Ease of use I find the Dyson V12 very easy to use. When you turn on the vacuum cleaner, click on the big button. This vacuums less heavily than the other Dysons, where you constantly keep the handle pressed. Thanks to the light weight of the stick vacuum, I also picked it up much faster during the day. The petty thief part comes in handy after a breakfast with a lot of crumbs.
Piezo sensor I find the Piezo sensor ideal when vacuuming. You immediately see whether you have vacuumed efficiently, because you see the amount of dust particles decrease on the LCD screen. You can see this in the graph on the screen, which updates after each vacuuming movement. What I also find useful is that the vacuum cleaner itself adjusts the suction power to the amount of dust and dirt. This means you don't have to switch from eco to turbo mode, and you use the battery optimally.
Light beam Even in the evening I find vacuuming quite an experience with the green light beam that makes all dust particles clearly visible. As a result, you do not go over the same place unnecessarily often, because you can see the dust particles well.
accessories The supplied set of accessories has brushes for all floors. I have a wooden floor, granite floor and a carpet in my house. To vacuum my wooden floor, I place the parquet brush on the stick vacuum. I use the multi-surface brush with anti-tangling technology for my stone floors and the carpet. The teeth on the inside of the brush ensure that you no longer have to cut tangled hairs from the suction mouth. I think that's really ideal, because that way I can easily vacuum up my long hair.
Emptying and battery life Emptying is also super easy. I do this over the trash can, which produces almost no swirling dust. The battery lasts long enough on eco mode, so that I can vacuum the entire floor. The only drawback I find that the battery life on the turbo mode is only 5 minutes. So I used it as little as possible.
In short, a smart vacuum cleaner that is at home with accessories from all markets. Only be careful when using the turbo mode, because the battery will then run out quickly.

As an ordinary vacuum cleaner, it performs well beyond expectations. The suction piece with the light shows fantastic where it is still dirty and the proposal for hair sucks itself nicely vacuum on the doormat. The crumb vacuum also sucks well, the couch is done in no time. The crevice thing and the one with the sliding brush, on the other hand, are disappointing compared to an ordinary vacuum cleaner - to vacuum the car you really better go to the car wash. I can do our entire ground floor on 1 battery, including a sofa, and combined with the top cleaning result, it exceeds my expectations. I do find the links and the suspension thing less robust than expected for this price, but well, the minimal weight must of course come from somewhere. I bought it partly because I can suck around the seat with small children after every meal, and our very old model with cord became a bit simple. It's fantastically easy to grab and suck these for a second. The biggest problem is that you don't want to stop when you have the attachment with light, because you see dirt everywhere.

I've always been used to a Miele and I really regret paying so much for a 'petty thief'.
