Our old frying pan was also from Tefal, and we have now purchased this one because the coating of the other pan is peeling off after 1.5 years, despite always washing by hand and using only plastic spatulas. This pan has a very fine, smooth coating, your food 'slides' through the pan, as it were. This does not burn, you need little oil or butter, and the pan is really easy to clean. Hopefully this coating will last longer, because I think it's a nice pan. In the meantime also ordered the larger and smaller frying pan because they are so good. As a disadvantage I would mention: the handle conducts the heat very well, and if the pan is briefly on the 'fire' (induction) you almost burn your fingers on the metal handle (the 'steel' as it were, so not the cap of the lid). I also find the thermo spot of all new Tefal pans quite unclear. "In the past" the image colored evenly dark red so that it became one dark red dot, now the image in the dot colors a little bit darker.
