This is my first standalone microphone, so unfortunately, I don't have anything to compare it to. It does do a great job of what I bought it for: meetings and gaming from home. I'm also happy that it doesn't pick up ambient noise from the keyboard, although it helps that it's positioned between my split (mechanical) keyboard. I'm not sure how to position it properly with a regular keyboard, because then the keyboard is quite far away, or the microphone is quite far away. It still picks up sound well (I tested that), but the quality is reduced, which is partly the point.

What's a bit odd is that you have to point it towards your mouth, and when you do that, you can no longer see the lights (including gain/mic mute). Microphones that light up completely red are more sophisticated in that regard. The RGB colors are also tilted away from you by default. So unless you position the microphone differently when not in use, it's useless.

In short: a great microphone for meetings/gaming with friends. Positioning it with a regular keyboard might be tricky, but I think that's a problem with all desktop microphones.
