According to our laptop expert
You can play medium demanding games and chat with your friends via Discord at the same time thanks to the i5 processor, 16GB RAM, and RTX 4060 video card.
The 144Hz screen displays moving images fast and smoothly, which is especially useful for fast shooters.
The red keyboard backlight always points you into the winning direction, even in the dark.
If you want to play more demanding games, we recommend at least an RTX 4070video card.
We recommend an Intel Core i7 or AMD Ryzen 7 processor for virtual reality games or editing video projects.
Note: 1) This laptop doesn't have Windows, but the FreeDOS operating system to give you more freedom. But there are Windows operating systems and apps on the MSI product page. 2) always connect the charger when you game, otherwise the battery drains in a few hours.
With the MSI Thin GF63 12VF-1030 gaming laptop, you can defeat any opponent, whether it's in Fortnite or EA FC 24. With the 12th generation Intel Core i5 processor, powerful RTX 4060 video card, and 16GB DDR4 RAM, you can smoothly play medium demanding games at high settings. You can also effortlessly multitask and chat with your friends via Discord. With the built-in components, editing footage is no problem. With a 144Hz refresh rate and 15.6-inch Full HD IPS panel, you even play fast shooters like CoD:MW III at a competitive esports level without being surprised by opponents. On the red backlit keyboard, your fingers can even find the way to victory in the dark.

In terms of design and ergonomics, it is a fantastic laptop, the quality of the screen is razor-sharp and even if you stand in a less favorable position you can see the image well. Keyboard lighting is dimmable and can be easily adjusted to your preference. Touchpad is very responsive. Sufficient memory and MSi has opted for the fast version of the i7 processor (h-type). The laptop looks nice and is nicely balanced when opened. Sufficient ports/connections. What is a bit annoying is that the battery does not reach 100 percent charge. Maybe that's because of the BMS, but I can't find it. What is really a letdown in my experience is more intended for the supplied Windows version than for the laptop. When you start up, you are presented with all kinds of incriminating nonsense, such as all kinds of media reports about current news, but also all kinds of apps are annoyingly intrusive. What I would expect would be: "right-click-delete" and voila, gone. But nothing is less true. To completely get rid of the annoying Ai-Bing and Cortana applications, I even had to disable them binary in the Registry editor. As far as I'm concerned, it's a real letdown. The Office365 applications including logo also keep showing up everywhere even though I have installed another Office version (once purchased), every time they try to refer you to a paid subscription. Still, I would buy this laptop again, based on the hardware. After the necessary annoyance with the software, it is simply a very nice device.

Battery management is very good. While playing games, the power from the battery and charger is completely directed to the cpu and gpu. In this case, the performance does not decrease in any way while playing games. Of course, in this case, the charge level drops, but if it drops below 30%, it deactivates this feature and starts charging. This provides an excellent gaming experience.
The design collects dust. Dust gets between the bezel around the bottom case and the bezel around the screen and I think it will be difficult for me to clean it for a long time.
The touch pad makes noise. As you run your fingers over it, there is a very, very, very little sound. It bothered me when I was working in a quiet environment. This is not a defect, I think it is in the design of the device.
