The JBL Quantum Stream Studio is a sturdy streaming microphone. The box contains a microphone, USB cable and a table tripod. I connect the microphone to my laptop or PC via the USB cable.
Design
This is a sturdy streaming microphone with a metal housing and a zinc alloy base. This means the microphone sits well on your desk and I feel that it is really made of good quality. The Stream Studio has a volume button on the front and a mute button on top. This way I can mute myself without any problems while streaming. I connect the Stream Studio via the supplied USB-C cable and use it straight away. There is also an input for my gaming headset at the back. The microphone has a general screw that fits on any microphone arm or stand. This means I also use the JBL Quantum Stream Studio with my current microphone arm. This screw is not loose, but is screwed into the base.
Recordings
JBL's streaming microphone has 4 different recording patterns, namely cardioid, bidirectional, stereo and omnidirectional. I can easily switch between the different recording patterns on the microphone when I press the dial. For example, I use the cardioid recording pattern when recording sound from the front and switch to omnidirectional recording pattern when I want to hear more background noise on my recording. My voice sounds clear during streams and recordings and I notice that the volume of my recording always remains constant, even when I speak softer. This way I know that I will always be clearly understood.
JBL Quantum Engine
The JBL Quantum Stream Studio gives me access to the JBL QuantumEngine software. With this software I personalize the recording sound of your streaming microphone. For example, I choose an equalizer that suits me, such as radio or broadcast, and I adjust the RGB lighting on the microphone. I also switch between recording patterns via the software and create recording profiles. The software looks clear, making it easy to use this software.
Are you looking for a sturdy streaming microphone with different recording patterns? Then choose the JBL Quantum Stream Studio.
