Recently upgraded our alarm system to 2025 with Home Assistant, but when the alarm goes off you still want to be able to peek inside. We already had a doorbell and two outdoor cameras from Eufy, so that's why we chose the same brand. As soon as the alarm is activated, HA turns on the Zigbee switch and there is a fairly quick image.

Great camera for the money. Tip: If you use an SD card, insert it before configuring the device.

I bought this camera because of the good specifications and the trust in Eufy as a brand. The image quality is excellent, both during the day and at night. The app is clear and the installation went smoothly.
However, I have experienced a striking problem: the camera runs by itself at night, while all detection and tracking options are completely disabled. This happens without any clear reason. This raises questions about the reliability and behavior of the camera when it should be inactive.

According to our IP camera expert
No extra HomeBase needed: you don't need an extra eufy HomeBase for this IP camera.
Keep an eye on more: because the lens of this camera rotates and tilts, you can monitor a large part of the room.
Always has power via the plug: the plug makes the IP camera easy to install, and the camera always has power.
An SD card for each camera: you'll need a separate SD card for each camera to save the footage.
Only near a socket: you can only install the IP camera near a socket.
