The higher speed of the Cricut Explore 3 only works if you use Smart Materials.

Description

With the Cricut Explore 3 + Starter Bundle, you have everything you need for your first projects. You also receive 6 rolls of Cricut Smart Vinyl, a roll of Cricut Smart Iron-On, a roll of transfer tape, and a weeder in addition to the Cricut Explore 3. This allows you to make a print for your T-shirt, stickers, long wall decorations, and much more. With the Cricut Explore 3, you can cut your creations even faster. From the thinnest paper to burlap, you can cut into 100 different materials. Using Cricut Smart Materials? You cut up to 2 times faster than in regular materials. You can also make cuts up to 3.6m. The Explore 3 measures in advance if you have enough material to make your creation. There are 6 separately available tools to add a little something extra to your creations. Your phone or tablet rests firmly in the docking slot.

You create your designs with the free Design Space software. Cricut Design Space is Cricut's design program. It has a couple of free, ready-to-use projects. Want to access thousands of ready-to-use projects, images, and fonts? You need a paid subscription to Cricut Access. You can also upload free designs from the internet. Use the canvas and create your own design with various shapes. Cricut Design Space guides you through your project from beginning to end.
