Philips Avent Connected SCD643/26

Installing the Philips Avent Connect SCD643/26 was surprisingly easy. Within minutes, everything was ready to use. It's a shame, however, that you can't paste the Wi-Fi password into the app, so you have to type everything in manually. The device requires a strong Wi-Fi signal; without the Wi-Fi booster, the connection frequently dropped.

The image quality is fantastic, both in daylight and in the dark. You can zoom in with minimal loss of quality, which is really nice. The sound is also clear and distinct.

The app is well-organized and user-friendly. Setting notifications is easy, and the ball joint makes aiming the camera very flexible. Everything can be quickly adjusted, such as the volume and other settings.

Conclusion: A reliable and user-friendly baby monitor with excellent image and good sound. Minor areas for improvement include the Wi-Fi dependency, the iOS audio function, and the lack of a battery, but all in all, it's a device I'm happy with.

After a lot of trouble with the Alecto, this is a breath of fresh air.

Easy to install and reset.

Downsides:

• The image can't be rotated remotely. This is only possible by manually turning the camera to view a different angle of the room.
• As an administrator, you can only receive notifications on two devices. If you register an iPad or other mobile device as a guest (e.g., the babysitter), they won't receive notifications for sound or motion.
