I think the TCL QD Mini-LED C61K 4K (2025) is a beautiful TV with high picture quality. Thanks to the mini-LED local dimming, I can see all the details in dark images and enjoy high brightness. The TV also uses QLED technology, which makes my favorite movies and series even more colorful.
Strong contrast
This TV uses mini-LED local dimming for a strong contrast between light and dark images. I love watching series like House of the Dragon, and they look great on this TV. I can see all the details in dark scenes, and bright light sources appear realistically. I sometimes notice a slight grayish cast in bright images, but this doesn't bother me.
Realistic colors
Thanks to the QLED technology, the C61K's screen is colorful and even brighter. My favorite nature documentaries look vibrant, and I'm completely immersed in the story. This also makes the TV suitable for bright living rooms with plenty of natural light. Thanks to the brighter colors, reflections are less noticeable. I saw almost no reflections in our test room, without adjusting the TV's brightness.
Deep TV sound
The TCL C61K has clear, crisp sound thanks to the built-in Onkyo speakers. I find the sound from the C61K speakers above average, but not as powerful as the sound from a soundbar or separate speakers. The speakers are good enough if you mainly watch TV programs or if you don't turn the volume up too high when watching a movie. For a true cinematic experience, I would recommend a separate sound system, such as a soundbar.
Design
The TCL C61K has a simple design and two slim feet. The material is lightweight and feels sturdy, making it easy to move the TV. This is useful when moving or when placing the TV in a different room. All connections are located on the side of the TV and are easily accessible. The finish emphasizes functionality, which I appreciate. If you want a TV with a more luxurious look, I recommend the TCL C71K or C81K.
