reMarkable Paper Pro Move with Book Case Leather Black

I've been using the Remarkable Pro Move for over a week; it's a fantastic device, beautifully compact and well-designed.

Writing is still a bit awkward compared to writing on real paper; I'm still figuring out which pen I prefer! I currently prefer the fineliner. The e-reader function works well, and the screen backlight is easily adjustable. Swiping between pages is still a bit awkward; sometimes you have to press quite firmly on the screen while swiping. I don't have experience with other e-books, only with an iPad.

In short, a nice compact device, a beautiful screen, and the whole package, including the stylus and cover, exudes quality.

After three years of serious enjoyment with the Remarkable 2, which still performs great and which I use at home when I want more space, I purchased this Move (including the leather book case) for when I'm on the go. It truly replaces pen and paper perfectly, allowing you to edit, move, resize, enlarge, and erase to your heart's content without it becoming a mess (which unfortunately often goes wrong on paper). If I need significantly more functions, I grab my iPad mini with Apple Pencil, but that is incomparable in terms of writing experience, and the Move is more manageable. I read many negative comments about the lack of free synchronization and cloud storage and having to pay for connection/sync subscriptions, but surely this little device isn't meant for that?! I've never felt the need for it. If I ever wanted to save a Remarkable file somewhere else, I could easily do so for free via a small workaround. Very rarely do I take a quick photo of my notes with my smartphone—easy enough—but I don't have a Remarkable for digital sharing and uploading (seems quite privacy-sensitive to me; I don't understand why you would want that). I can read back and find everything within the device itself; it is easy to organize. So, for me, it replaces large amounts of paper and notebooks and prevents chaos. In a very stylish, luxurious way that feels very pleasant. The uninhibited note-taking/sketching, editing, and refining of your ideas and thoughts with this is so nice. It inspires! I expect to enjoy it for years to come and will continue using the RM2.

Great product, but the quick breakage has made me lose confidence. Maybe it's just bad luck.
