FRITZ!Repeater 1610 Outdoor

Unfortunately, the installation of the Fritz Outdoor amplifier was incredibly difficult. It is impossible to establish a connection via a MacBook. And unfortunately, you cannot follow the instructions in the manual either, as that doesn't work. I did eventually manage to establish a Wi-Fi connection with the router via their own website. However, it is better to select the “indoor” connection, otherwise you still have to use a cable outdoors, which defeats the purpose. It works well after the installation, but it takes 1.5 hours to figure out how it works, especially since it is not clearly explained in the manual. So, if a long installation isn't a problem, then it works.

I have been using the FRITZ!Repeater 1610 Outdoor for just a few weeks now and am very satisfied. The Wi-Fi signal on my patio, in the garden, and even upstairs was previously not always very strong, but that problem has now been solved. I have a stable connection everywhere and can stream, video call, and work without interruptions, even at the back of the garden.

The installation went surprisingly smoothly. Thanks to the PoE+ connection, I didn't need to use an outdoor power outlet, and the included adapters allowed the repeater to be mounted quickly. Everything felt solid and was clearly explained.

It also makes a good impression in terms of weather resistance. It has already withstood rain, wind, and fluctuating temperatures without any issues. So, the device is suitable for outdoor use.

What strikes me most is that the speed remains good even at greater distances. In the garden and even in the garage, the connection is still fast and stable.

All in all, a nice and reliable solution for anyone who wants better Wi-Fi coverage outdoors. Not the cheapest repeater, but as far as I'm concerned, certainly worth the investment.

I mounted the FRITZ!Repeater 1610 Outdoor at the back of my house. Since then, the Wi-Fi signal in the garden is much better. Even further from the house, the connection remains strong enough to watch movies, stream music, and hold online meetings.

Connecting to my existing FRITZ! Mesh system went smoothly. After the wired connection, the repeater was found immediately. The cable routing and connections are practically designed. Do keep in mind, however, that a network cable is required.

In terms of performance, I am very satisfied. Even at a distance of about 15 meters, the speed remains good and stable. You notice this especially during streaming and video calling.

I cannot yet comment on performance during rain or extreme weather conditions, as I have not yet experienced that situation. However, so far, the device is working excellently.
