Explore 5 + Essentials bundle
Better model
So far, I am very satisfied with the Cricut Explore 5. What you can do with it is fantastic, but at the same time, it is sometimes difficult to get started because there are so many possibilities. The software's capabilities (if you want to create designs in it) are very basic and limited. If you have no experience with design and do not have access to that software, I would definitely recommend getting a subscription to really let the Cricut shine.
The videos explaining how the machine and materials work are nice and clear. The projects I have had cut so far are very clean, and the machine is nice and fast. Do make sure to set the correct material in Design Space when you want to cut a project. Otherwise, you will damage the cutting mat or the project you are working on.
Finding the right accessories can be quite a search. Accessories (such as markers) from other/older models are not compatible. Something to keep in mind.
All in all, I think it is a nice machine that does its job well, and I am looking forward to making many more projects with it.
