What a beautiful and compact machine! Super fast cutting, writing, drawing, and even engraving and creating fold lines thanks to all the extras included in the bundle. Downloading the software is quick and smooth, and the program guides you easily through all the steps. Now everything can be personalized.

It is an incredibly nice device, more compact than the previous Maker machines. Installation and downloading the software went like a charm. It came with many materials for making various projects, such as full-colour stickers, vinyl stickers, and textile printing. But also for making cards by drawing and cutting. Even the tools for engraving and creating fold lines are included. You can really start trying out so many options right away. It is almost impossible to choose what you want to get started with.

It was time for me to upgrade from the original Maker. I liked the Maker 5 because of its compact size and speed – the latter in particular is a huge upgrade. Furthermore, the support for writing with pens, for example, remains unparalleled. It is also nice that, in addition to a blade, a scoring tool and engraving tip are included, along with a nice starter kit (that was much less the case with the original Maker back then). The downsides are probably already known: the pens from my old Maker do not fit in this device, and due to the compact size, the storage compartments for tools on the side of the device have disappeared – but you can't have everything, of course. To my surprise, this device still does not use USB-C power (fortunately, the connection cable for the computer is USB-C).
