Apple Studio Display Nano-texture (2026) with VESA Mounting

After nearly 10 years on a 24" Cinema Display, I finally decided to shell out for an upgrade. And what an upgrade it is. Plug in the laptop via USB-C and go! Even code looks gorgeous. The bezels aren't the thinnest, but they look elegant. Fortunately, the non-adjustable screen height seems well-suited to the average Belgian who doesn't play basketball.

The camera and microphone/speakers are perfect for endless video meetings. Looping through to a second screen (new compared to the 2022 version) also works flawlessly. The maximum brightness is just sufficient for the average (home) office with a fair amount of light (but without direct sunlight).

As long as the screen remains connected to a MacBook (with a fully charged battery), it only goes into sleep mode sporadically. Most of the time, the built-in A18 Pro and fans continue to consume nearly 20 W, until you disconnect everything. A slight delay in the audio output also makes it impossible to pair the screen with other devices. AirPlay speakers in the room (disturbing echo effect). Known shortcomings that Apple unfortunately has not fixed in this revision.

A bit more expensive, but with the high-quality finish, image quality, and ease of use you expect from Apple.

Apple is Apple, that's what you pay for. But the screen works very well with my MacBook. Sharp image and also perfect for editing in Premiere Pro.
