Activating and installing the camera is very quick. The app guides the process perfectly. If you want to neatly conceal the entire cable, you'll need a 2-centimeter hole, especially for the Ethernet connector. Since I use the camera wirelessly, I don't need that connector, but cutting it off didn't seem like a good idea. The camera is mounted outside about 8 meters from my nearest TP-Link Deco M4, and that works perfectly. Person tracking is a nice option (which can also be disabled). The image quality is excellent, even in the dark (especially with the spotlights). I haven't tried many of the options yet. With my C420, I often missed things (it needs to wake up to save battery), but I haven't noticed that with this C560WS. In that respect, a mains-powered camera is my preference. So far, I've only received one notification of a person in the garden, even though there was absolutely nothing to see. I can't comment on long-term reliability yet, but so far I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

The little device has many possibilities, but one has to discover and try them out for oneself.

I've had several Tapo cameras for some time now, including the C420 and the D235 doorbell, all connected to the Tapo H200 hub. Due to the size of my home, I've installed multiple H200 hubs, which also store video footage. I recently purchased the Tapo C560WS because its specifications seemed promising, but after a few weeks of use, I'm quite disappointed. It turns out the C560WS doesn't work with the H200 hub at all, only with the H500. So I had to purchase that hub as well. You'd expect both hubs to integrate seamlessly, but the H500 doesn't work with the H200 at all. Furthermore, the AI functionality leaves much to be desired. You'd expect the camera to correctly recognize a person based on a few examples, but my own photo keeps appearing under "unknown." I keep adding new examples without improving the results. As far as I'm concerned, the AI technology in these Tapo devices is still in its infancy. My advice: do your research before purchasing this product.
