According to our mirrorless camera expert
The large 100-400mm zoom range makes the lens suitable for portrait, wildlife, and sports photography.
You can focus all the way to the edge of the image thanks to the 651 autofocus points that cover the entire screen.
With 4K resolution, you can record smooth, sharp videos.
The camera crops your image horizontally in 4K at 60 fps, so your frame is smaller.
Photograph distant subjects with the Canon EOS R10 + RF 100-400mm f/5.6-8 IS USM. This kit includes a Canon EOS R10 camera body and a versatile telephoto lens. The lens has a 100-400mm zoom range, so you can use it for portrait, wildlife, and sports photography. The EOS R10 has 651 autofocus points that cover the entire frame. This lets you focus all the way to the edge of the image, so you can accurately track your subjects and capture them sharply in frame. Do you like recording videos? The camera records in 4K resolution and at up to 60 frames per second, so you can create smooth, sharp videos for your social media channels, for example.
I think the Canon EOS R10 is a great camera for traveling. It is very light, which makes it easy to carry. Especially in combination with the compact RF-S 18-45mm lens. I unobtrusively take to the streets for some documentary footage. The photos look sharp and I shoot detailed videos. This makes the camera suitable for online content creators, from photo to video.
Comprehensive autofocus system with vehicle recognition I find the focus accurate. That's because the autofocus covers the entire screen. When I pick a focus point, I do it all the way to the edge of the frame. I tap the point I want to focus and he immediately picks it up. During filming, the focus transition is very smooth. On the street I capture people sharply with facial recognition. The camera also recognizes vehicles. I find that the recognition works quickly, which gives me confidence that my subject is in focus.
Good image quality in dark situations In a dark room I test the low light performance. I am very satisfied with the result. Despite the high ISO values of about 6400 that I use, the photos look sharp. During post-processing I get the details of dark parts in the photo back well. If you zoom in on the photo, the noise is visible, but on Instagram, for example, you hardly see this.
Compact and handy size Due to the compact body, the camera is less firm in the hand, I think. This is because there is some space between the camera and my fingers. Still, I don't feel like it just slips out of my hand, this is because of the rubber grip. The advantage of this compact size is that I can easily take it with me in my bag. I also find the camera very light, so I don't get a sore neck as quickly if I take it with me all day. If you travel a lot with your camera, I would definitely recommend the R10.
User-friendly operation I don't find the camera complicated. I can easily go through all the settings with the touchscreen. I am used to the Canon menu and find all settings quickly. With the tilting screen I shoot from different angles. This gives me more freedom when shooting. For example, I look for unique points of view, for example low to the ground or from the air. You can also make vlogs with it.
