How do you place the water filter in your Krups Intuition?

You need:

  • Krups water filter
  • Container of at least 600ml

How often should you replace the water filter?

We recommend you to replace the water filter of your Krups fully automatic espresso machine every 2 months. That way, you can avoid limescale in the pipes of your machine. The water filter filters limescale and chloride particles from the water. This also keeps the machine in good condition, so it can continue to do its job well.

Select the right menu

Step 1: select the right menu

  1. Scroll down to 'Settings' in the menu. Tap here, and go to 'Maintenance of the machine'.
  2. Click 'Filter', then 'Replace filter'.
  3. Take the water tank out of the coffee machine and remove the used water filter. Use the attachment and unscrew the water filter from the water tank.
  4. Press 'OK' to confirm this step.
Install the water filter

Step 2: install the water filter

  1. Grab the new water filter. Turn the dial on top of the waterfilter to the number of the current month.
  2. Click the attachment onto the water filter and screw the new water filter into the water tank.
  3. Take the attachment off again by pushing it sideways.
  4. Press 'OK' to confirm this step.
Rinse the water filter

Step 3: rinse the water filter

  1. Fill the water tank up to 'Max' with fresh water.
  2. Place the water tank back into the coffee machine.
  3. Place a container of at least 600ml under the coffee outlet and put the milk tube in the container.
  4. Confirm with 'OK'.
  5. The coffee machine will now rinse for about 5 minutes.
  6. Remove the container once the machine is done rinsing.
  7. The water filter has now been installed successfully.
